Presbyterian College remembers victims, lessons of 9-11

Presbyterian College's ROTC department led a stirring Patriot's Day remembrance of the 9-11 tragedy Monday with a service in front of the college's War Memorial.

Guest speakers included the Rev. Tom Stallworth, a former military chaplain and the college's retired director of alumni relations; college provost Dr. Robert Holyer; athletic director Dr. Bee Carlton, who was teaching at West Point in 2001; professor of military science Lt. Col. Walt Pjetraj, who was at the Pentagon during the attacks; and college chaplain the Rev. Dr. David Lindsay.

Personal insights, poignant reminders, and lessons on service and sacrifice were shared during a service dedicated not only to preserving the memories of the victims of the 9-11 attacks but also to the perseverance of freedom and the American spirit.
