PC's own "Hosegrass" band rocked Belk Auditorium on a rainy Thursday evening during a fundraising event for Habitat for Humanity. PC president John Griffith was even persuaded to take the stage for an unforgettable version of "Proud Mary." The event raised more than $1000 that will be added to other campus fundraisers for Habitat for Humanity, which has been at the forefront of the college’s service activities during the 2006-07 academic year. Students, faculty, and staff joined together during the fall semester to construct a Habitat house for a Clinton family, then began raising funds during the spring semester to aid in the construction of another home.
