April 27, 2007 Nearly 30 students, parents, and advisors gathered at Presbyterian College April 13-15 for the inaugural "Experience PC" program sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs. The event, an evolution of the college's "African American Overnighter," was designed to attract high school sophomores and juniors for a full weekend of activities on campus and to educate them about residential college experience. The expanded schedule not only gave the visitors more time to become familiar with campus, according to director of multicultural student affairs Rodney Cohen, but also to interact with more PC students, faculty, and administrators. "We had participants from locations such as Greenville, Spartanburg, Charleston, Columbia, and Laurens County who attended sessions on the college admissions process, financial aid, scholarships, life at PC and the college experience," Cohen said. "There were plentiful opportunities for interaction with students and other PC activities including the spring football game and a PC baseball game." Students also had an opportunity to tour campus and participate in group discussions.
