"A great night. It was wonderful to see so many 'PC folks' gathered together to support the PC Baseball team and celebrate Dr. Getty's 101st birthday," Tam Milton, Chair of PC's D1 Commission, said.

"I saw many familiar faces representing generations of PC community and many new faces that added to this exciting night," Stan Reid '74 said.

It was also a good start to the "On Deck" Campaign to raise funds to improve and upgrade the on-campus baseball stadium. These facility improvements will greatly enhance our competitive position and create a better experience for students, athletes, and fans.

"I am all for it!" Reed said. "The new stadium will help baseball turn into a revenue sport. The venue will have comforts and exciting competition that will draw alumni back to campus during the spring."

During the evening it was announced that two former players made an inaugural gift of $200,000 to the baseball campaign.

"A strong foundation going forward is what this stadium will provide for the future of the program," Reed said.
