"My faculty colleagues and I have discovered our calling.  Every day, we get to study, research, and learn more about topics that fascinate us; share that knowledge with some of the brightest, finest, most outstanding young people we know; and then watch -- sometimes in amazement -- as students discover the pleasure of learning and growing.  We realize how blessed we are to have discovered our calling in life.  It's almost as if work is not like work at all - unless, of course, we're grading a big stack of tests!  Stacks of tests or not, I must confess: Some days, after my students have left the classroom and as I shut down my high-tech equipment, I say a little 'thank you' to God for allowing me to do what I do."
