Fulbright Scholarship
The Fulbright Program "aims to bring a little more knowledge, a little more reason, and a little more compassion into world affairs, and thereby to increase the chance that nations will learn at least to live in peace and friendship." --J. William Fulbright
The Fulbright Student Scholarship provides opportunities for personal development and international experience and allows students to design their own programs, including university coursework, library or field research, classes in a music or art school, independent projects in the social or life sciences, assisting in the teaching of English, or a combination of these and other projects.
Awards: Grant money varies depending on field study. See the website for more information regarding previously granted awards.
Requirements: Applicants must be a U.S Citizen, hold a B.A. degree at the time of the grant, be in good health, and have sufficient proficiency in the written and spoken language of the host country to communicate with people and carry out the propsed study. Applicants may hold a J.D degree but not a Ph.D
