James Madison Scholarship

The James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation was estaablished by Congress in 1986 for the purpose of improving teaching about the United States Constitution in secondary schools. The foundation provides fellowships for graduate studies that focus on the Constitution and its contemporary relevance to the practices and policies of democratic government. The Foundation seeks applications committed to teach American history, American government, or social studies at the secondary level.

The foundation will award up to $24,000.

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen; be a teacher, or plan to become a teacher of American history and/or American government; and have earned an undergraduate degree by August 31 of the competition year.

This past semester I had the wonderful opportunity of studying in London with the Hansard Scholars Program. I took classes at The London School of Economics (LSE) and had the privilege of being an intern in Parliament.
