Truman Scholarship

The Truman Scholarship provides funding to students pursuing graduate degrees in public service fields. The Foundation also provides assistance with career counseling, internship placement, graduate school admissions, and professional development. Scholars are invited to participate in a number of programs, including the Truman Scholarship Week, the Summer Institute, the Truman Fellows Program, and the Public Service Law Conference.

Award: $30,000

Requirements: Candidates must be full-time college juniors at the time of selection, committed to a career in public service, and in the upper quarter of their class. Applications are not accepted directly from candidates.

This past semester I had the wonderful opportunity of studying in London with the Hansard Scholars Program. I took classes at The London School of Economics (LSE) and had the privilege of being an intern in Parliament.
