Music & PC

Music Study at Presbyterian College prepares students for a professional life in music, enhances a liberal arts education, provides life-long service, and creates opportunities combined with other majors and minors.

PC offers a Music major and a Music minor. All students can participate in music classes, lessons, and ensembles no matter if they are a beginner or highly experienced and are welcome to audition to receive a music scholarship.

Music scholarship auditions are for everyone*

The Department of Music seeks talented musicians to join their various ensembles through an audition. You could receive a music scholarship of at least $1,000 and up to $3,000 per year. This will be combined with your merit scholarship offer. The amount of your music scholarship will be determined by your audition and will be recommended by our music faculty.

The ensembles that you can participate in as early as your first year on campus include:

Bagpipes Ensemble
Bands (PC Wind Ensemble, PC Chamber Winds, and PC Jazz Band)
Percussion Ensemble
Piano Ensemble
Strings Ensembles (PC Chamber Orchestra, duos, trios, and quartets)
Vocal Ensembles (PC Choir and all-men and all-women choirs)

Sign up for an audition today!

*Auditions are open to all prospective students – you must audition before attending PC.
