High School GPA
We recalculate your GPA on a 4.0 scale

SAT & ACT Scores
While we don't require both the SAT and ACT, we do encourage you to take both tests at least once. Each test is different, and some students score higher on one than the other. We believe it's in your best interest to find out which one is best for you.

The SAT
The New SAT has three sections -- Critical Reading, Math, and Writing -- each worth 800 points. For admissions and scholarship awards, we combine only the critical reading (formerly known as "verbal") and math scores. To create your total score, we take the highest critical reading and the highest math score from either the old SAT (if you've taken the old version) or the New SAT. For admission consideration, we prefer to see a combined critical reading (or verbal) and math score of at least 1000 or better. Our mid-range SAT score is 1050-1250. The minimum score for PC's academic scholarships is 1100. Enter PC's school code (5540) when you register for the SAT to have your scores automatically sent to PC.

The ACT
The ACT has several different sections, and all of the scores for those sections are combined to produce the Composite score. This is the score we look at for admission and scholarship consideration. We prefer to see a Composite score of 22 or better, and our mid-range is 24-28. To have your scores automatically sent to PC, enter our school code. (3874) when you register for the ACT.

Application Process
Here's where it all starts!

Early Decision Option

If you know PC is your first choice, take advantage of our Early Decision Option and complete your application file by November 1. You'll know our decision early. If you're admitted, you'll be able to relax and focus on other things, like finding scholarships and keeping up with your high school courses.

This option is a binding agreement. As an Early Decision student, you agree to enroll at PC and withdraw all applications for admission to other institutions if you're admitted to PC under the Early Decision plan. (If you're not admitted under the Early Decision plan, you will still be considered for regular admission to PC and may continue to apply elsewhere.)

Once you're accepted as an Early Decision student, you'll receive an estimated financial aid package by January 15. (For this reason, Early Decision is not recommended if you or your family want to compare financial aid options at multiple institutions before deciding which college you will attend.)

The deadline for submitting the non-refundable $400 registration deposit for Early Decision is January 15.
