Hello! My name is Taylor Randall and I am an Admissions Counselor here at Presbyterian College. I was born and raised in Clinton, South Carolina and was lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend Presbyterian College. I am a 2010 graduate with a double major in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance, and Theater, and I could not be more excited to come back and work for my alma mater in the Admissions office.
PC is a small liberal arts college nestled in the town of Clinton in upstate South Carolina. When you come to visit PC, hundred year old oak trees and stunning academic buildings will instantly make you feel at home. Beyond our beautiful campus, you will find a close-knit group of faculty, staff, and students which will become your family during your four years here! Our professors take the time to get to know you individually. With an average class size of 15 students, you will create relationships with your professors that will continue on after graduation. They will become your mentors, a great support system, and your friends.
PC is a community based on honor and respect, upheld by our Honor Code. Our school motto, “While We Live, We Serve” is one that our students truly take to heart. With multiple service organizations at PC, there is ample opportunity for our students to serve our community. Whether it is through service, Greek Life, intramurals, the arts, or Division 1 athletics, there is always something to do at PC! With over 50 student-run organizations, there is something for everyone!
The academic courses at PC also give you an opportunity to find what major is exactly right for you! Although I was a Music and Theater major, our liberal arts philosophy ensures that our students graduate with a comprehensive education that covers many subjects and concentrations. I quickly discovered that PC’s Music and Theater departments would allow me to study my craft and gain one-on-one training with fantastic professors. I was able to help start an Improv Troupe called Improv Underground, had countless opportunities to perform, and became student conductor of the Presbyterian College Choir my junior year. There are also opportunities to study abroad, go on a Maymester, or have an internship. When I attended PC, I did an internship with our Department of Music as a Private Voice Teacher. I also went on a Maymester to Ireland with the History department which was an experience that I will never forget!
Deciding on the right college is a tough decision! I strongly encourage you to come and visit our campus and come see for yourself how great this school is! If you can’t schedule a visit, I will be travelling to the northern-half of Georgia and Horry and Georgetown counties in South Carolina. Although I will not be traveling to Delaware, New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania, I am still very excited to be your counselor as well. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you have. Good luck as you continue your college search! Enjoy every minute of it!
