Gwen RobersonHello! My name is Gwen Roberson, and I am an Assistant Director of Admissions at Presbyterian College. I graduated in May 2008! I received a BA in English with minors in Secondary Education and Psychology. I am excited to offer my PC experiences to you and your family. My four years here at PC were so rewarding because of the wonderful people who make this college unique.

PC professors are the very best. They are passionate about what they do. They don't just teach you; they inspire you. My professors were always supportive of the different events I was taking part in on campus. They made me feel like they really did care about more than what I was doing in their class. They wanted to know about my other classes and about me so that they would understand me as a person and student.

Along with having some wonderful professors, there are the lasting friendships that I have! I made some of my best friends here because PC is such a close knit community. I was fortunate enough to have the same roommate all four years, and freshman hall, Belk 1st floor, will always be the group of girls I remember forever. There were always those random study breaks that consisted of building forts in the lobby and dressing up in weird costumes just because we could!

Most of all, the PC education I received has been the most valuable thing that I've taken with me. Throughout my four years here, I knew that my professors trusted me and I felt like I was a part of an honest community with my fellow classmates because of our Honor Code. Most importantly, my Liberal Arts education has been crucial to my career path and appreciation for not just my discipline, but others as well. Get excited because if you are from the lower half of Georgia or the Western part of South Carolina, I am on my way to visit you this fall to tell you about Presbyterian College! If you are from Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, or Nevada, I will not have the chance to visit you, but I will be your counselor so feel free to contact me with questions!

I invite you to come experience what PC is like for yourself. Come visit us, and see our beautiful campus along with meeting some of our talented professors! Seeing is believing.

Application Process
Here's where it all starts!
Early Decision Option

If you know PC is your first choice, take advantage of our Early Decision Option and complete your application file by November 1. You'll know our decision early. If you're admitted, you'll be able to relax and focus on other things, like finding scholarships and keeping up with your high school courses.

This option is a binding agreement. As an Early Decision student, you agree to enroll at PC and withdraw all applications for admission to other institutions if you're admitted to PC under the Early Decision plan. (If you're not admitted under the Early Decision plan, you will still be considered for regular admission to PC and may continue to apply elsewhere.)

Once you're accepted as an Early Decision student, you'll receive an estimated financial aid package by January 15. (For this reason, Early Decision is not recommended if you or your family want to compare financial aid options at multiple institutions before deciding which college you will attend.)

The deadline for submitting the non-refundable $400 registration deposit for Early Decision is January 15.

I'm a friend for life.

Relationships are very important part of your time at college. At PC you can expect close relationships in and out of the classroom. You'll also develop deep, meaningful relationships with other students because the atmosphere creates a sense of intimacy, whether it’s in classes, organizations or in your residence hall.
