Hi! My name is Rebecca Carpenter. I am an admissions counselor for Presbyterian College. I graduated from PC in May of 2006. While attending, I received a bachelor's degree in Christian Education/Religion and History. I loved my four years here in Clinton, SC so much that I just could not stay away - which is why I am back to inform you about PC and even be available to talk and answer any questions you might have!
PC gives a unique college experience like no other schools! The beauty of the liberal arts education that is offered here is that you can literally come in not having ANY idea in what you want to study, and take a little bit of everything until you find something that interests you!
What is also excellent is that you after you pick your major(s) you can continue to take other classes from different departments. This allows you to not feel too tied down to one area, but instead you feel can pursue an assorted class load. What I also found wonderful about PC was the academics; not only are the classes interesting, but the professors that teach them are also so energetic and passionate about their material!
Not only does the classroom at PC keep you entertained, but all the different activities as well. I never had a problem with signing up for multiple clubs and events. This included our Student Volunteer Service, Student Government Association, Greek life, and Wilderness Activities Program. Weekends are filled with day trips to the beach, mountains or any of the three major cities that are so close, as well as bands and open mic. nights. There is always something for everyone.
This fall I'll be traveling to North Carolina and Atlanta, but if you are in the states of Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, or New Mexico feel free to contact me as well! I hope I can help you out with any questions that you might have, and PLEASE come for a visit - I could never put into words what the college campus is truly like.
