Class of 2008
Hometown: Tega Cay, SC
Fort Mill High School
Majors: History and Religion
"I transferred to PC from Clemson my sophomore year because I needed a smaller school and I couldn't be happier with my decision. When we won the last Bronze Derby this year and rushed onto the field after our last ever Division II game, I realized what a once-in-a-lifetime moment I had just experienced. PC is the ideal college for me; it just took me awhile to find it!"

Christian Merchant epitomizes what a liberal arts education can do for someone. The math major and music minor “loves most things,” he says, most notably math, music, reading, and war history. Since he is interested in so many things, Christian has had a difficult time focusing. He came to PC without direction, and he came here wanting to grow up.
