Dr. Fred Chapman - Honorary Alumnus Award 2006

Dr. Fred Chapman, Vance Professor Emeritus of Economics and Business Administration at PC, was presented with the Honorary Alumnus Award.

Chapman taught at the college for 30 years, earning the Alumni Distinguished Teaching Award in 1980. He also served as a board member and president of the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce and as a trustee in Laurens County School District 56. In 1982, he was named Outstanding Board Member of the Year by the S.C. School Boards Association, where he served a term as president.

In 2003, PC awarded Chapman an honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters.
