Why I Give

We all have different reasons why PC is special to us.  It could be a certain professor or class, a certain victory on the athletic field, long lunches in GDH or some lifelong friends.  These memories are supported and provided by PC Fund dollars.  We all have busy lives and commitments but putting PC in part of that equation is important for the success of current and future students. Also, giving to the PC Fund provides tangible and intangible benefits to our alumni network.  I hope you will join me in providing for the future of PC. 

I always knew giving was important but in my new position as Assistant Director of Law School Advancement at Washington & Lee University, I have realized just specifically how.  Annual alumni giving is critical to the success of a university.  Private dollars provide amazing results in maintenance of facilities, subsidizing tuition for students and providing research support for professors.  Annual giving to the PC Fund provides administrators unrestricted funds to improve PC programs, activities and student life - the nuts and bolts of the Blue Hose experience. 

I learned so much at PC in and outside the classroom, and I feel strongly about giving back to a place that I belong to forever and doing what I can financially to help Presbyterian College meet its goals.  I think many PC grads live, knowingly or unknowingly, by the motto, "While we live, we serve" - which I believe is one of the best mottos of any liberal arts college!  I think of that phrase often and try to live up to it.
