Dec. 23 - Columbia - Carolina Ale House

Join your fellow Blue Hose as PC takes on USC in basketball The PC men's basketball team tips off against USC on December 23 at 7 PM in Columbia. Before the game the Blue Hose Columbia Alumni group is hosting a pre-game social event for alumni and fans at the Carolina Ale House, located at 708 Lady Street in Columbia 29201.

The social starts at 5p.m. and lasts until tip-off. Head upstairs to hang with everyone before the game begins! And, as Blue Hose, let's carry our motto of "Dum Vivimus Servimus" with us this holiday season by bringing a canned good to the pre-game celebration. All donations will be delivered to Columbia's Harvest Hope Food Bank.

What every PC'un should know

Are you an alumnus ... an alumni ...?

Many graduates are confused by the terminology when speaking about alumni, so with apologies to the Honor Council, here is a little cheat sheet for everyone.

Alumnus - one male
Alumni - more than one male (pronounced "alum-n'eye")

Alumna - one female
Alumnae - more than one female (pronounced "alum-knee")

Alumni - both male and female (pronounced as above)
