Class of 1968
Terry Dye '68 retired on June 1, 2009 from the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Panama City, FL after almost 20 years (Civil Service) as the Asst. Scientific & Technical Intelligence Liaison Officer (STILO) and with 20 years and 3 months active duty (USAF) that gave him 40 years in the DOD. Terry says, “Retirement is GREAT and I'm really enjoying more time at church, schools, and in the community doing more volunteer work -- my schedule is MINE now; sort of.”

David Henderson ’75 is currently working in Columbia at a subsidiary of BCBS SC – Palmetto Government Benefits Administrators.
Class of 1976
Larry Broome ’76 has recently taken the position of General Secretary or second in command with The Salvation Army for all Salvation Army operations in the state of Florida. The headquarters is based in Lutz, FL, just outside of Tampa. Larry and his wife are also expecting their first granddaughter in September.
Class of 1979

Monty Todd ’79 has been named to the 2010 edition of Best Lawyers in America, the oldest and most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession. It is the fifth time Todd has been named to the list in the last six years. Todd earned a BS in business administration from PC in 1979 and a law degree from the University of South Carolina in 1982. “I was as well-prepared as law students from Duke, Harvard, Yale, and colleges all across the country,” Todd said. “PC prepared me for law school and thereafter.” The Laurens, SC native is a personal litigation attorney with Sowell, Gray, Stepp, & Laffitte in Columbia, SC. In addition to receiving the honor this year, Todd was recognized as one of the best lawyers in America for 2005, ‘06, ‘07, and ‘09. He was named one of the super lawyers in America in 2008 and ‘09. First published in 1983, Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive annual peer-review survey. For the new U.S. edition, more than 24,126 leading attorneys cast more than 2.8 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in the same and related specialties. Inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singular honor because of the rigorous and transparent methodology and because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.

George Martin ’82 has taken a job as Assistant Principal at his old Alma Mater – Pickens High School. After serving 26 years at Belton-Honea Path High School he is back to being a “Blue Flame”. His wife, Cathy, is till at Ambler Elementary. Their sons, Matthew (11) will be entering Middle School and Daniel (7) will be in 2nd grade. George loves using Facebook to find old friends and alumni. He still enjoys scuba diving whenever possible.

Cheri Snead Jones ’85 recently retired from her position of Associate Regional Counsel with the Department of Homeland Security. She still resides in El Paso, TX. Cheri was able to reconnect with classmates from ’84 and ’85 this summer when she visited Charleston, SC.

SSG Scott Grandy ’91 is serving in Active Guard and Reserve Status for the Army National Guard. SSG Grandy is currently stationed at the Army National Guard Readiness Center in Arlington, VA. He recently reported to a position working in the Domestic Operations branch. SSG Grandy is pursuing his Masters in Emergency and Disaster Management. Scott is also an EMT with a volunteer fire department in Charles County, MD.
Richard Inman '91 and Kara Bennick were married on June 19, 2009 at Lake Hartwell. Richard and Kara have three boys. Richard recently accepted the position of Chief of Police for the Town of Williamston, SC.

Mike and Ann Mayfield Jaskwhich ‘93 joyful announce the birth of their first child, Catherine Douglas. Catherine was born on May 22. The proud grandparents are Luta and Walter Mayfield ‘58 and proud aunt and uncle, Shae and Charlie Mayfield ‘87. Ann was recently named the District Manager for the Virginia South District. Ann is a Vice President for Wachovia Bank, a Wells Fargo Company and Mike is the National Sales Manager for American Pavilion and American Event Services. Ann and Mike currently reside in Richmond, VA.

Marine Corps Spouse Jennifer Elliott Butler ’94 was the winner of Camp Pendleton’s 2008-2009 Civilian Volunteer of the Year. Camp Pendleton, CA- Colonel James B. Seaton, Commanding Officer of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, in conjunction with the Base Volunteer Program honored Jennifer in a ceremony held on April 24, 2009. Jennifer has been an active volunteer aboard MCB Camp Pendleton since 2006, and during 2008, dedicated nearly 750 hours to the community. She held the seat of Treasurer of the Officer’s Wives Club, was a small group facilitator for the Leadership Education Seminar, and taught Military 101 to newly married spouses with the L.I.N.K.S. program. As a Family Readiness Advisor, she published newsletters, coordinated family day events and assisted with deployment briefs. Jennifer was instrumental in the adoption of her husband’s unit, 1st Battalion 11th Marines, by the City of San Juan Capistrano, and became the sole point of contact for the city to represent the voice of Battalion families. Jennifer received a plaque, certificates of appreciation, and the use of a prime parking spot at various businesses aboard the Base. Camp Pendleton hosts the annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony the last week of April to coincide with National Volunteer Week. Jennifer and her husband, Major Bryant Butler, USMC, recently moved from Oceanside, CA to Leavenworth, KS. Bryant is attending the Army’s Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth.

Dina Padgett Shuler ‘94 was named Teacher of the Year for 2009 at Berkeley Middle School in Moncks Corner, SC. Dina has been teaching 7th grade science at BMS for 5 years and has been teaching for 12 years. She resides in Moncks Corner with her husband, Clinton Shuler ‘97, and their two children, Hollie (7) and Joey (3).

Christina Eckert ’97 and Michael McGovern were married June 27, 2009. The couple resides in Mountain Brook, AL. They are both employed at Mountain Brook High School where Christina is a teacher and Michael is a teacher and coach.

Todd Anderson '98 and his wife, Heather, welcomed the birth of their son, Trevor Best Anderson, on May 5, 2009. The family resides in Eden Prairie, MN.

Jeff Adams ’99 and wife, Mindy, welcomed their second son, Case Warren Adams, on May 7, 2009. His big brother, Tucker, is three years old. Jeff is a Business Development Associate with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. in St. Petersburg, FL. Mindy is a copywriter at 22squared, Inc. in Tampa. The family resides in Tamp, FL.
Laura Keely Middleton '99 and husband Ryan welcomed their first child, Mathew Charles Middleton, on December 24, 2008. The family resides in Converse, TX.
Dr. Ronald E. Miller, Jr. ‘99 is a full-time faculty member in the Francis Marion University English Department. He teaches classes ranging from first-year composition to upper-level world literature for English majors and minors. Last fall, Ronald assisted a senior English major with his capstone project. He is also a faculty writing center consultant. In addition, Ronald serves on numerous university committees and is conducting both pedagogical and literary research.

Jason Arthur Cochcroft '99 and Christina Michelle Griffin were married on April 4, 2009 at Union United Methodist Church in Irmo SC. PC alumnae groomsmen included Robert Emmett Staton, Sr. '68, (stepdad of the groom) and Robert Emmett Staton, Jr. '97. Michelle is employed by Dr. William A Burn, III and is a member of Union Praise band and MY Affliction Band. Jason is employed with Cintas, Inc. The couple resides in Lexington SC.

Ashley Owens Cresswell '00 and Adam Cresswell '00 announce the birth of their daughter, Kathryn Austen Cresswell, born August 10, 2009. She joins big sister Caroline (2). The family resides in Columbia.
Ann Drayton Lister ’00, a native of Hopkins, SC, has released a book on the history of Hopkins. The authors’ desire to preserve Hopkins’s history is resounded by local families who generously shared their memories and photographs. Ann Drayton is a member of the Upcountry History Museum’s History Makers, Presbyterian College’s Young Alumni Board, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Columbia Museum of Art, and the Greenville Museum of Art. She resides in Greer with her husband, Hammond.
Emily Ridlehoover Simril ’00 and Ross Simril ‘01 welcomed the birth of their daughter, Margaret Cain Simril on May 11, 2009. The family resides in Birmingham, AL where Ross is completing his residency in anesthesiology. Emily works part time as a pediatric occupational therapist.

Brandon Scott Dean ’01 and Mary Rachel Farrow were married June 27, 2009 at Easley Presbyterian Church in Easley. The bride is a graduate of Erskine College and received her Master’s degree in special education from Furman University. She is employed as a second grade teacher at Fork Shoals Elementary. The groom received his Master’s degree in industrial management from Clemson University. He is employed by Milliken. The couple resides in Greenville.
Jenny Webb Phillips '01 and husband, Brad, welcomed their daughter, Harper Suzanne, on April 11, 2009. Harper joins big brother Hudson who turned two in July.

Lauren Anderson ’02 graduated in May 2009 from the University of South Carolina with her Masters degree in Social Work. She is employed at Piedmont Medical Center as a social worker. Lauren currently resides in Rock Hill, SC.

Sarah McSweeney ’02 and Thomas Raymond Copeland were married March 28, 2009 at Lowndes Grove, Charleston, SC. Dr. John Griffith officiated the ceremony. The bride is an event manager at Patrick Properties in Charleston. The groom is a graduate of the College of Charleston and is owner of Copeland’s Marine Detailing and Services in Charleston.
Megan Pafford ’02 and Daniel David Wyatt were married November 22, 2008 at Dunwoody Methodist Church in Dunwoody, GA. The bride is the Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Around Atlanta in Sandy Springs, GA. The groom is an independent insurance broker with Partners Benefit Group. The wedding party included Jeffrey Beck Pafford ’01, Kelly Wheeler Fitzpatrick ’02 and Lindsey Smith Frye ’03. The couple resides in Norcross, GA.
Stephen Replogle ’02 has accepted a new position as Director of Government of Affairs for Wal-Mart. He formerly worked as Coalitions Director for the Senate Republican Conference for Sen. John Thune (R-SD), Sen. Jon Kyl (AZ) and Sen. Lamar Alexander (TN). Previously, he’s also worked at the Department of Commerce in legislative affairs during the Bush Administration, on the Bush/Cheney 2004 Presidential campaign in New Hampshire as a coalition’s director, for 501c3 organization Americans of Faith, for the public affairs company DCI Group, and the Georgia Republican Party. He and his wife, Skye Earls Replogle ’03, reside in Washington, DC.

Andrea Lenore Coleman ’03 and Benjamin Brooks Alan Egger, both of Athens, GA, are to be married August 29, 2009 at Athens First United Methodist Church. The bride-elect is currently employed at R. W. Allen, LLC in Athens, GA as the Marketing Coordinator. The groom-elect is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BA degree in Political Science. He is also a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law with a Juris Doctorate. He is currently an attorney in Athens, GA.
Vaughan R. Dozier '03 has recently been promoted to Assistant Vice-President and Commercial Banker with First Community Bank in Lexington, SC. His duties include responsibility for business development of loan and deposit relationships in the bank's Columbia/West Columbia and Cayce market. Vaughan is a graduate of Leadership Columbia. He is also active in many community organizations, including the Columbia and West Metro Chambers of Commerce and the March of Dimes. Vaughan resides Lexington with his wife and daughter.
Alissa Currie Mansbach ’03 and Benjamin Johnstone Edwards ’00 were married August 1, 2009 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greenville. The bride earned a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Converse College. She is employed with Greenville County Schools. The groom is employed by The South Financial Group. The couple resides in Greenville.

Amy Riddle ’03 in currently living in New York City pursuing musical theatre and acting. She graduated from The Boston Conservatory in 2005 with a Masters in Classical Voice and from New York University in 2008 with a Masters in Music Theatre. Amy recently finished a two month run of playing the role of Nimue in La Comedia Dinner Theatre’s production of Camelot in Springboro, OH. She also recently finished filming The Untitled Nancy Meyer’s Project movie as an extra starring Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, and John Krasinski in Queens, New York.
Mary Lane Quinn Sloan '03 and David Sloan '02 welcomed their first child, Emmaline Bell Sloan, on January 14, 2009. The family resides in Columbia, SC.

Mitchell Spearman ’03, Kay Ligon Beekman ’02 and Kay’s husband, Andy, enjoyed a Saturday morning breakfast together in a small diner in Bar Harbor, Maine. Mitchell and his mom were spending the weekend in Bar Harbor when they just happened to come across Kay and Andy at the diner. This just proves “The Blue Hose are everywhere!”

Katherine Eckert ’04 and David Coyne of Birmingham were married September 20, 2008. Her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Eckert Tebeau ’99 and Christina Eckert McGovern ’97 stood up for her. The couple now lives in Mountain Brook, AL
Lisa Johnson Hassell '04 and husband, Jon, are excited to announce the birth of their first child, a son named Jacob Ryan Hassell. He was born on May 5, 2009. Lisa quit her teaching job to stay home with Jacob. The family lives outside of Charlotte, NC.
Andrea McGavin ’04 has accepted a position with AEG Facilities and is now the Marketing Director at the Time Warner Cable Arena (Bobcats Arena) in Charlotte.

Courtney Thain Molony '04 and Ryan Molony '04 are the proud parents of a baby girl, Durham Cameron Molony, born July 9, 2009. The family resides in Laurens where Courtney is an elementary school counselor at Ford Elementary and Ryan is the Athletic Director and Head Basketball Coach at Laurens Academy.

Emily Helen Freeze ’05 of Laurens and Jeffrey Michael Parks of Boiling Springs were married July 11, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Laurens. The bride earned her Master of Education degree in Administration and Supervision from Clemson University. She teaches first grade at Ford Elementary School in Laurens. The groom, a graduate of Clemson University, is a teacher and coach at Woodruff High School in Woodruff. The couple will reside in Laurens.
Allison Mae Tebbe ’05 and Russell Davis Rice ’05 were married August 8, 2009 at St. Luke’s Chapel in Charleston. The bride-elect is a graduate of Presbyterian College and The Citadel. She is employed with Dorchester 2 School District as a school psychologist. The groom-elect is a graduate of Presbyterian College and University of South Carolina School of Law. He is employed with the Hood Law Firm in Charleston.
Andreana Valicenti '05 has been promoted to office manager of Southcoast's main branch in Mount Pleasant. She has been with the bank since 2006.
Shannon Bridges '06 has moved to Greenville after accepting a position at Pediatrics Unlimited at Pelham as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist.

Olivia Elborn Hazel '06 graduated from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, in May 2009, with a master of arts degree in school psychology. She is working as a school psychologist in Harford County Public Schools.
Virginia Kelsey John ’06 and Todd Berry Mattox, both of Columbia, were married August 1, 2009 at Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Ginny graduated from Presbyterian College with a BS in Psychology and the University of South Carolina with a BS in Nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse at Providence Hospital. Todd is a graduate of The Citadel with a BS in Civil Engineering and the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and is employed as a traffic engineer at Dennis Corporation.
Ansley Lauren Stewart '06 and Brandon Russell Wilson '06 were married July 18, 2009, at first United Methodist Church in Marion. The bride received her Masters of Education in literacy from The Citadel. She is employed as a first grade teacher at Flowertown Elementary School in Summerville. The groom is employed as a financial services professional with MassMutual Financial Group. The couple resides in Summerville.

Helen Elizabeth Wrenn '06 and Michael Jared Pridmore were married on July 26, 2008 in Columbia, SC. Fellow PC students and alumni helped celebrate the marriage: Blair Seymour McLeod, Courtney Bell, Laura Hicklin, Christie Sturzenbecker, Mr. and Mrs. Brad Bryant, Katherine Bryant, Laura Carmody, Andrew Strickland, Brad Martin, Mandy Reading Martin, Sarah Gardner Camp, Weston Rice, Courtney Shelton, and Elizabeth Ann Herring. The couple resides in Charlotte, NC. Michael is employed by Duke Energy as a Structural Engineer in Transmissions Line Engineering. Helen is employed by Shaw Nuclear as a Structural Engineer in New Plant Design.

Amanda Rossie '07 graduated from the University of Southern California and is moving to Columbus, OH in the fall of 2009 to pursue her PhD in Women's Studies.

Becca Cook ’08 recently returned from studying at Les Roches International School of Hotel management in Bluche, Switzerland after receiving a post-graduate diploma in Hospitality Management. Becca has taken an employment opportunity at Kiawah Island’s Five Star/Five Diamond hotel, The Sanctuary, where she will be working at the front desk at the hotel’s spa. She looks forward to using the practical and educational knowledge she has been taught at Presbyterian College as well as Les Roches as she delves into her career.
Christopher David Heiden ’08 and Kristin Lynne Scarboro are to be married August 8, 2009 at Athens First United Methodist Church in Athens, GA. The groom-elect is currently working as a Client Services Coordinator for Pardot Marketing Automation in Atlanta, GA. The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of the University of Georgia and a 2008 graduate of Duke Divinity School with a Masters of Divinity. She currently serves as the Minister to Families with Children at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, GA.
Rachael Ellen Hinson ’08 and Bryan Edward Lewis were married June 6, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Dillon, SC. The bride will be attending Francis Marion University School of Nursing. The groom, a graduate of Francis Marion University, is employed by Wachovia Bank in Florence. The couple will reside in Florence.
Kaley Peek '08 recently returned from five months in Honduras where she volunteered at Orphanage Emmanuel. In the fall of 2008, she spent three months in Japan volunteering at an organic farming school for rural community leaders from Asia and Africa. Kaley will begin dental school at the Medical College of Georgia in August.
Ashley Lauren Sloan ’08 and Markus Robert Lentz ’07, both of Columbia, were married August 29, 2009, at Shandon United Methodist Church. The bride is employed by Bishopville Animal Hospital. The groom is a sales representative with Nu-Idea in Sumter. The couple will reside in Sumter.

Elizabeth Ann McLean ’09 of Clinton and David Elwood McCuen IV ’06 of Greenville, were married August 1, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church in Clinton. The groom is employed by the City of Greer as a firefighter/EMT and is pursuing a Master’s degree in public administration from Clemson University. The couple will reside in Mauldin.
