BLUE
HOSE BASEBALL RANKED #29 IN PRESEASON POLL
CLINTON,
SC — Presbyterian College baseball team received a
preseason ranking of #29 in Collegiate
Baseball Magazine’s NCAA Division II Top 30
preseason poll announced today.
Eighth-year head coach Doug
Kovash returns 23 letterwinners, four
starters and a complete pitching staff from the
2000 Blue Hose baseball squad which won 37 games
against 20 losses and finished fifth in the South
Atlantic Conference regular season.
The Blue Hose continue to
play one of the toughest schedules in the country
with eight teams on their schedule either received
votes for the top 30 or was preseason ranked
(North Florida, Florida Southern, Lenoir-Rhyne,
Tampa, West Virginia State, Catawba, Wingate, and
Kennesaw State).
