Erskine Loses to Presbyterian College
DUE WEST, SC--- Presbyterian withstood a six run ninth to hold on for a 12-8 victory.
The Blue
Hose were lead by Brad Hurst (Greer,
SC) and Heath
McCutcheon (Newberry, SC) who each went 2-3 with three
RBI’s. McCutcheon
broke the game open when he hit a two run home run in the
third inning to give Presbyterian a 4-1 lead.
Kurt Hitzeman
(Americas, GA) pitched five innings, giving up two runs on
seven hits while striking out six batters to pick up his third
win of the season.
Freshman Eric Prevatt (Anderson, SC) and Sophomore Jeff Gray (Mauldin, SC) led the Fleet at the plate. Prevatt went 3-5 with two RBI’s, while Jeff Gray was 2-3 with three RBI’s and his first home run of the season. Chad Amidon (Cavalier, ND) picked up the loss pitching 4.1 innings and giving up six runs.
