Lander downs
Presbyterian 4-2
GREENWOOD, SC --The
Lander baseball team won its third straight game Wednesday
night when the No. 30 Senators defeated Presbyterian College,
4-2, in a non-conference game at Legion Field. Lander
improves to 24-14, while Presbyterian drops to 20-21.
Lander's Mark Ray
(2-2) went the distance for the Senators, striking out three,
walking one and allowing seven hits and two earned runs.
John Harper went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI to
lead the Senators. Kurt Hitzeman (3-5) took the
loss for the Blue Hose, allowing five hits and one earned run
in three innings pitched.
Both teams recorded seven hits, but Lander took advantage of
five Blue Hose errors.
