BLUE HOSE  BASEBALL CRUISES PAST THE SAINTS 17-5
Noble becomes the programs all time save leader

GAFFNEY, SC - Redshirt freshman Heath McCutcheon (Newberry, SC) helped lead the Blue Hose to a 17-5 win over Limestone College today by going three-for-four with 6 RBI's including a homerun and a double along with three runs scored.  On the mound, senior pitcher Mike Noble (Spartanburg, SC) threw three quality innings to pick up the save and become the programs career saves leader with thirteen.  

PC scored two runs in the first inning, three in the third inning, and six in the fourth and sixth innings.

At the plate PC was lead by McCutcheon and teammates junior centerfielder Chris Turco (Marietta, GA), sophomore first baseman Matt Warren (Lexington, SC), sophomore catcher Tombo Hite (Abbeville, SC), and junior second baseman Brad Hurst (Greer, SC) each added two hits in the win.  Picking up the RBI's were McCutcheon with six, Hite with three, and freshman right fielder Kevin White (Spartanburg, SC) with three.  Getting the win for the Blue Hose was sophomore Kurt Hitzeman (Americus, GA) who went two scoreless inning and struck out one batter.  

Limestone scored two runs in the first inning and three runs in the fourth, but was unable to overcome the two six run innings the Blue Hose posted on the scoreboard.  

PC returns to action this weekend at home to open up conference play with the preseason pick to win the conference Lenoir-Rhyne College Bears.  On Saturday, these two teams will play a double header starting at noon while Sunday's game is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm.
