The teams traded runs in the tenth inning and then in the top of the eleventh, junior Keagan Broussard (Virginia Beach, VA) singled to score sophomore Davis Rice (Clinton, SC) for the game winner. Rice then saw four batters in the bottom half of the inning but did not let a runner past second before the game ending out was made.

Rice (1-0) picked up his first win of the year for Presbyterian. Junior Chris Turco (Marietta, GA) led the Blue Hose at the plate going 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI. Sophomore Tombo Hite (Abbeville, SC) went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a solo homerun.
