BLUE HOSE BASEBALL SWEEPS PFEIFFER UNIVERSITY 5-0, 10-3
PC’s New connects on a pair of homeruns in the wins

MISENHEIMER, NC — Presbyterian College picked up a pair wins over Pfeiffer University 5-0, 10-3 in college baseball action Saturday afternoon.

In the first game, PC’s starting pitcher senior Mike Burns (Simpsonville, SC) improved his record to 3-0 on the season after going seven innings and allowing on four hits at the Blue Hose won 5-0. The Blue Hose got plenty of offense from sophomore catcher Dusty New (Abbeville, SC) who connected on his first collegiate homerun. Fellow sophomore Matt Warren (Lexington, SC) also added a homer in the win.

The second game saw New hit his second homerun of his career, a two-run shot, to push the Blue Hose past the Falcons 10-3. Senior pitcher Kevin Felts (Winston-Salem, NC) improved his record to 1-1 on the season after going six innings allowing three runs and striking out five batters. Sophomore Tombo Hite (Abbeville, SC) added his second collegiate homerun, a grand slam, for the Blue Hose.

The Blue Hose improve to 5-4 on the season and return to action this Tuesday, February 13 when they host Francis Marion University at 2:00 pm.
