BLUE HOSE COME FROM BEHIND TO DEFEAT BUFFALOES 8-3 
IN BASEBALL ACTION

CLINTON, SC — PC’s junior designated hitter Matt Warren (Lexington, SC) went two-for-four at the plate with three RBI’s to lead the Blue Hose to a 8-3 win over the Buffaloes of Milligan College Sunday afternoon.

Milligan jumped out to a early 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on an RBI-single by junior centerfielder Chris Archer (Knoxville, TN). The Buffaloes extended their lead to 2-0 in the top of the fourth inning as senior second baseman Ben Berry (Johnson City, TN) hit an RBI-single to score teammate senior leftfielder Matt Trivett (Bristol, TN).

The Blue Hose got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the sixth inning at 2-1 as Warren hit an RBI-double scoring sophomore first baseman Brian Prahl (Peachtree City, GA) from first.

Milligan increased the lead to 3-1 in the top of the seventh as senior first baseman J.P. Nix (Johnson City, TN) hit a RBI-double. The Blue Hose exploded in the bottom of the inning scoring four runs highlighted by a single and two RBI's from Warren and a double from freshman right fielder Kevin White (Spartanburg, SC) also scoring two to give PC a 5-3 lead.

PC extended the lead to 8-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning after scoring three runs off a Buffalo error and a RBI single by junior leftfielder Keagan Broussard (Virginia Beach, VA).

Warren led five Blue Hose batters in junior centerfielder Chris Turco (Marietta, GA), Broussard, White, and senior second baseman Brad Hurst (Greer, SC) who each picked up a pair of hits on the day.

PC’s senior pitcher Bryan Betsill (Cross Anchor, SC) picked up his first win of the season after throwing two innings of solid relief allowing one run on two hits. Starting pitcher sophomore Kurt Hitzeman (Americus, GA) went five good innings allowing two earned runs on seven hits.

The Buffaloes were led at the plate by Archer and Trivett who each went two-for-four with an RBI. Starting pitcher sophomore Dustin Barrett (Tazewell, VA) took the loss after going six innings allowing one run on six hits while striking out eight Blue Hose batters.

Presbyterian improves to 8-5 on the season while Milligan falls to 0-3.
