Listed as  starter at third base entering spring season ... played well during fall after playing last three seasons at second base ... solid glove man, solid arm, quick first step ... showed good leadership this fall ... look for him to make things happen on the bases this season ... finished second on the team in 2001 with 130 assists and posted a .953 fielding percentage ... played well in 20 games as a freshman - especially on defense - where he did not commit an error in 18 chances ... followed up with a solid sophomore campaign which saw him hit .316 through 26 games, steal 6-8 bases, and field at a .939 clip before going down with injury midway through the season ... played at Riverside High School ... son of Voit and Patsy Hurst ... undecided upon a major.

Fought thru injury riddled season in 2001 to put up some good numbers in limited time ... hurt again this fall ... projected to come off the bench as a outfielder ... has the potential to take over in leftfield ... must improve consistency in hitting and throwing to be an everyday player ... has power to all fields ... could see time at DH ... transferred from Erskine College ... four-year letterwinner at Emerald High School ... son of Joan Bishop ... majoring in business administration.

Above average left-handed hitter who will pinch hit and spot start ... has the potential to be an everyday DH ... good contact, line drive hitter who showed some homerun power this fall ... has improved overall physical shape, strength, and speed ... much better athlete that previous two seasons ... one of our key players off the bench ... will be needed to be a clutch hitter this season ... four-year letterwinner at Lafayette High School ... son of Lavin and Kourosh Marefat ... undecided upon a major.
