SAC BASEBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK ANNOUNCED 
PC's Kevin White named Position Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, SC – Carson-Newman College’s Matt  Huskey was named the SAC Pitcher of the Week and Presbyterian College’s Kevin White was selected as the SAC Position Player of the Week, conference officials announced today.

Huskey, a 6-2, 185-pound senior pitcher from Knoxville, TN picked up two wins last week.  He picked up his first win of the week in relief against King College by striking out three of the nine batters he faced.  Huskey then started against Southern Indiana and threw 7.2 innings without allowing an earned run.  For the season, Huskey is 4-0 with a 3.80 ERA with 23 strikeouts and only three base on balls allowed.

White, a 6-2, 185-pound sophomore right fielder from Spartanburg, SC (Spartanburg HS) hit .522 with three homeruns, 10 RBI, and eight runs scored.  Kevin got at least one hit in every game last week including four in each of his last two games against West Alabama.  He leads the team in hits (22), homeruns (5), RBI (21), and slugging percentage (.804).  Kevin has a .431 batting average for the season.
