COLLEGE PICKED SECOND
ROCK HILL, S.C. ––
The Presbyterian College Blue Hose were picked to finish
second in this year’s South Atlantic Conference regular
season championship in a vote by the eight league head coaches
announced today. The Blue Hose, who received two first-place
votes and 56 total points, finished second last year and
return preseason All-American selection, outfielder Kevin
White. White was one of five Blue Hose selected to the
preseason All-Conference team, which was also announced today.
Joining White on the first team are senior pitcher Richard
Barkley, redshirt senior first baseman Matt
Warren and senior second baseman Tombo
Hite. Senior third baseman Davis
Rice was named to the third team.
Catawba
College, which won last year’s Food Lion South Atlantic
Conference Baseball Tournament, has been picked to win this
year’s regular season championship.
