PRESBYTERIAN BASEBALL DOWNS LANDER 11-4

GREENWOOD, S.C. - The Presbyterian baseball team pounded out 14 hits and took advantage of five Lander errors Wednesday night in defeating the Senators, 11-4, in a non-conference game at Legion Field.

Presbyterian improves to 22-22 overall, while Lander drops to 20-25.  PC’s Kevin White (2-0) earned the win, striking out two, walking four and allowing two runs (one earned) on four this in five innings pitched.  Lander’s Corey Watkins (2-2) was the loser, allowing three earned runs on four hits in two-thirds of an inning.

The Blue Hose scored three runs in the first inning and two runs in each of the next three innings to take a 7-1 advantage.  PC’s Tombo Hite went 2-for-5 with one homerun. Davis Rice went 2-for-6 with two RBI, Matt Bodie went 3-for-5 with one RBI, and Philip Hauserman went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

For Lander, Ryan Roeder went 4-for-5 with three RBI and Tyler Winningham went 2-for-4.
