HARRIS AND ROLLISON SIGN WITH BLUE HOSE BASEBALL
CLINTON,
S.C. — Evans Harris
and Brad Rollison have signed national letters of intent to play
baseball at Presbyterian College announced today by first year
head coach Elton
Pollock.
Harris,
a 5-11, 165-pound pitcher/infielder from Spartanburg, SC
currently plays for Broome High School and head coach Terry
Floyd. During the summer he plays for the American Legion
Post 109 in Gaffney, SC and head coach Jeff
Osment. He hit .306 this past summer in legion play while
helping lead the team to an 28-8 overall record and the third
round of the state playoffs. In addition, he earned the
team’s Sportsmanship and Golden Glove Awards while being
selected to participate in the Baseball Factory Jr. USA
Program.
“Evans
Harris is a versatile athlete with a live arm,” said
Pollock. “I am impressed with his savvy on the mound and his
ability to compete at the highest level.”
Rollison,
a 5-11, 165-pound pitcher/infielder from Simpsonville, SC,
currently plays for Greenville High School and head coach Dave
Delgado. An All-Region performer, Rollison compiled a .383
batting average at the plate with 11 doubles, four triples,
and one homerun last season while helping lead his team to the
Peach Blossom Conference title with an undefeated record.
During the summer he plays for the Palmetto Express and head
coach Seth Brizek
and helped his team to the 2003 Big League World Series title.
“Brad
Rollison will be a great addition to our baseball program. He
is a very polished ball player with lots of versatility. He
will make an impact in our middle infield and should see
significant time on the mound as a
freshman.”
Harris and Rollison become the first members of
the Presbyterian College Baseball Signing Class for 2005.
