PRESBYTERIAN’S LUNNEN NAMED SOUTH ATLANTIC
CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ROCK HILL , S.C. Presbyterian first baseman Jake Lunnen was named South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week the league announced Monday afternoon.

Lunnen, a senior from Sylva, N.C., had an outstanding week offensively in helping the Blue Hose to a 3-2 record, including a victory over #25 West Virginia State .  Lunnen compiled a .600 batting average, while hitting two home runs and collecting 13 RBIs.  In the second game of a doubleheader against SAC rival Mars Hill on Friday, Lunnen went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a home run, and five RBIs.

For the season, Lunnen is hitting .300 with three homeruns and 18 RBIs for the 12-23 Blue Hose.

The SAC player and pitcher of the week are selected by the conference’s eight sports information directors.
