PRESBYTERIAN’S McEWEN NAMED SOUTH ATLANTIC CONFERENCE
PITCHER OF THE WEEK

ROCK HILL, S.C. –Presbyterian College freshman starting pitcher Rob McEwen has been named South Atlantic Conference Pitcher of the Week the league announced Monday afternoon.

McEwen, a native of Leesville, S.C., made two starts on the week, compiling a 1-1 record.  While McEwen struggled in his first start against Augusta State University, he rebounded nicely to pitch a no-hitter in the second game of a SAC doubleheader against Wingate.  McEwen only issued two walks in the game, while fanning two Bulldog batters en route to his first collegiate win.

The SAC player and pitcher of the week are selected by the conference’s eight sports information directors.
