SUIT
SIGNS WITH BLUE HOSE BASEBALL
CLINTON,
S.C. — Parker Suit
has signed to play baseball at Presbyterian College announced
today by head coach Elton
Pollock.
Suit, a 6-0, 190-pound pitcher from Macon, Georgia, played for
First Presbyterian Day School and head coach Terrell Mitchell. He compiled a 22-7 record on the mound and posted
a 1.44 ERA with 206 strikeouts as a senior. During his high
school career, Suit earned All-State honors twice, All-Region
honors three times, and twice was named to the All-Middle
Georgia honorable mention team. He led his team to a pair of
“Final Four” appearances in the state playoffs, the last
coming this past year. During the summer he plays for the Staf
Athletics and head coach Kevin
Renz.
“Parker Suit is a great acquisition for the Presbyterian College
baseball program,” said Pollock. “He displays a lot of
poise on the mound. Parker has a good fastball and a great
breaking ball. He reminds me of a young Richard Barkley, who
was one of the best pitchers in PC history and also played
professionally in the New York Yankees organization. He should
come in and make an impact as a freshman.”
Suit joins Evans Harris
of Spartanburg, S.C., Daniel
Hill of Matthews, N.C., Cory
Lyda of Simpsonville, S.C., and Brad
Rollison of Simpsonville, SC as members of the
Presbyterian College Baseball Signing Class for 2005.
