PC's Kovash wins 400th career game versus Hawaii Pacific

CLINTON, S.C. — Presbyterian College head baseball coach Doug Kovash reached a significant milestone during the team’s trip to the state of Hawaii. Kovash picked up his 400th career win in PC’s 9-8 victory over Hawaii Pacific University on Monday night.

Kovash currently has a career mark of 403-358-2 in 15 years of collegiate coaching. Earlier this season, Kovash reached another significant milestone when he won his 300th career game as head coach of the Blue Hose in 10+ seasons.

During his tenure, he has established the Blue Hose program as one of the most competitive in all of NCAA Division II. Each season the team plays arguably one of the most difficult schedules in the nation and in the past 10 seasons Kovash-led teams have produced 22 all-region selections, four ABCA All-American honorees, and 10 professional players.

The Blue Hose are currently 13-13 on the season and begin a three-game series against South Atlantic Conference rival, Catawba College tomorrow with a 12 noon doubleheader at the PC Baseball Complex.
