PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE FALLS TO LANDER UNIVERSITY 15-6
 IN BASEBALL ACTION 

GREENWOOD, S.C.----The Lander and Presbyterian College baseball teams used 12 pitchers and combined for 31 hits Wednesday night as the Bearcats earned a 15-6 non-conference victory over the Blue Hose at Legion Field.

Lander improves to 27-14 overall, equalling last season's number of victories, while PC drops to 20-19.

Lander's Patrick Hakey (1-0) earned his first win of the season, striking out one, walking one and allowing two earned runs on four hits. PC's Travis Hill (2-5) took the loss, striking out one and allowing two earned runs on five hits.

Bob Fenn led the Bearcats going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. David Walton went 4-for-4 with one triple, one double and two RBI. Jason Spivey (2-for-6, two RBI), Kevin Faulkner (1-for-5), Mike Fears (2-for-4) and Corey Reed (3-for-5, two RBI) all doubled.

PC's Kevin White went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI and Robert Rodebaugh went 2-for-3 with one double and two RBI. Jake Lunnen went 3-for-5 and Curtis Bell went 2-for-5 with two RBI.

Lander outhit the Blue Hose, 17-14.
