PC’S KEVIN WHITE SAC BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Presbyterian College senior outfielder Kevin White (Spartanburg, SC) has earned the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week league officials announced today.

White, a 6-2, 195-pound native of Spartanburg, SC (Spartanburg HS), helped lead the Blue Hose to a 5-4 mark this past week including four wins in a trio of doubleheaders versus Hawaii Pacific University.

Against the Hawaii Pacific University Sea Warriors, White hit .667 at the plate with a 1.429 slugging percentage and a .692 on-base percentage. He tallied three doubles, two triples, three homeruns, nine runs scored, 10 RBI and 30 total bases versus Hawaii Pacific in six games. White opened the series versus the Sea Warriors by hitting for the cycle as PC won 9-8 including a triple in the sixth to give PC lead for good at 9-6. 

After the week, White moved into elite company in the Blue Hose record books as he became the all-time leader in runs scored (181), hits (287), and total bases (490). He also moved into 2nd place in career RBI (188), and 3rd in triples (10) and doubles (51). He is already the program’s all-time leader in homeruns (44), batting average (.384), and slugging percentage (.656).

The SAC position player and pitcher of the week are determined by a vote of the league’s eight sports information directors.
