GCSU BASEBALL CRUISES PAST BLUE HOSE 11-1
MILLEDGEVILLE, GA- Brandon Anderson
went 4-for-4 with three RBI and scored three runs to help #2
Georgia College & State University knock off Presbyterian
College 11-1 Tuesday afternoon at John Kurtz Field. GCSU
(35-7) pounded out 16 hits in the victory.
The
Bobcats jumped on the Blue Hose for four runs in the first
inning, four more in the second and two more in the third
inning to blow the game open.
In
addition to Anderson, Justin Mills went 2-for-4 with
three runs scored, Mike DeVeaux went 2-for-4 with
two RBI, Kyle Schisler went 3-for-4 with one RBI, and
Nick Waldrip went 2-for-5 with two RBI as the Bobcats
spread the hits all throughout the lineup. Daniel Hill
(Matthews, N.C.) went 2-for-3 to lead PC at the plate.
Mike
Bergtsrom
(2-2) picked up the win for the Bobcats after allowing one
run on four hits in three innings of work, while Ross
Ellis (2-7, Kings Mountain, N.C.) took the loss for PC
(17-34) after allowing eight runs on nine hits in 1.2
innings.
GCSU
hosts North Georgia College & State University in a three
game Peach Belt Conference series beginning on Friday at 6
p.m. PC finishes up their regular season with a doubleheader
at Belmont Abbey College and a three game South Atlantic
Conference series against Tusculum College this weekend.
