FALLS TO ERSKINE
DUE
WEST, SC---Erskine
took advantage of four Presbyterian errors to take a 7-4
victory over the Blue Hose Tuesday afternoon at Grier Field
in non conference baseball action.
The Fleet took an early lead, scoring two runs in the bottom
of the first inning when Matt Schneider knocked in
Robbie Knapp with a two out double then would score on a
single from Wes Platts. The Fleet would never lose
the lead, but the Blue Hose scored two runs in the fifth to
cut the lead in half. Erskine would add a run in the bottom
of the fifth and two in the eighth to take the 7-4 victory.
Erskine was led at the plate by Schneider who was 2-4 with
two doubles and an RBI and Kris Andersen was 2-4 with
an RBI. Presbyterian was led by
Kyle Craven
(Savannah, Ga.) who was 4-5 with a triple and RBI and
Josue Scott
(Columbus, S.C.) was 3-5 with two double s and an RBI. Matt
Bodie finished the game 2-5 with a home run and two RBI's.
Chad Hinson picked up the win, allowing two runs in
five innings of work and striking out two.
Ben Dollar
(Gaffney, S.C.) took the loss, allowing three earned runs in
eight innings of work.
With the win, Erskine improves to 20-4 on the season while
Presbyterian falls to 8-21.
