TWENTY-SIX FORMER BLUE HOSE BASEBALL PLAYERS RETURN FOR ANNUAL ALUMNI GAME
Teal wins homerun derby, while Nix father-son duo steal spotlight

CLINTON, S.C. – Twenty six former players came back to play in the Presbyterian College baseball alumni game that was held in conjunction with homecoming on October 22 at the PC Baseball Complex according to head coach Elton Pollock.

 

Players in attendance were (left to right): (Top Row) Travis Hill, Zach Matthews, Jake Lunnen, Lance Howard, Kevin White, Philip Hauserman, Richard Barkley, Dusty New, Matt Warren, Mike Burns, Brian Richie, Davis Rice, Bryan Betsill, Ryan Seningen, Ross Mundy, and Clay Hall. (Bottom Row, L to R) Elton Pollock, Donald Sheppard, Jay Leonard, Chris Turco, Brad Teal, Evan McDonald, Damian Patrick, Ken Nix, Kevin Nix, and Eric Andress.

 

Judge Ken Nix, of Smyrna, Ga., who played football and baseball at PC from 1957-1959 and his son Kevin Nix, a 1989 graduate, are shown participating in the alumni game on October 22. Judge Nix, who was the oldest alumni participating at age 66, comes back every season and catches in the game. His son Kevin, who was the second oldest participant at 37 years old, is a coach at Mt. Zion High School in Carroll County, Ga.

The Blue Hose baseball alumni game is held every year during homecoming weekend.
