PRESTIGIOUS MUSGROVE MILL GOLF CLUB TO HOST DIAMOND CLUB CURTIS BELL MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Diamond Club, in an effort to raise money for both PC baseball and the

Curtis Bell Scholarship, will hold its annual golf tournament at the

prestigious Musgrove Mill Golf Club in Clinton, SC on Monday, November 6,

2006.

Curtis Bell, a 2004 graduate of Presbyterian College, is remembered as a

talented athlete, an outstanding scholar, and a young man who lived a model

life of citizenship.  A native of Gilbert, S.C., Bell was the starting third

baseman for the Blue Hose in 2004. Tragically he died in an airplane crash

in October 2004.  "Curtis was not only an outstanding baseball player and a

scholar, but he was what every one of us strives to be - the ultimate

citizen," remembers PC head baseball coach Elton Pollock. Following his

death, the Curtis Bell Scholarship was established at Presbyterian College

in Bell's memory and for the support of one student-athlete from the Blue

Hose baseball program who exhibits Bell‚s characteristics and qualities.

Proceeds from this golf tournament will continue to support the Curtis Bell

Scholarship as well as the Presbyterian College Baseball program.
