Laurens’ Greer Signs With Blue Hose Baseball

CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College head baseball coach Elton Pollock announced the singing of Max Greer out of Laurens District 55 High School on Friday.

"Being one of the best baseball talents in Laurens county, I felt it was imperative to have Max in a Blue Hose uniform next season,” remarked Pollock. “He is truly a ‘go-getter' on the baseball field.  His leadership for Laurens High School was evident during his entire senior season.  Max will provide PC with much-needed depth to our infield, and his ability to play either second or third will allow him to make a contribution early in his college career."

Greer earned numerous awards during his time at Laurens, including SCBCA 4A All-State accolades in 2007 and All-Region plaudits in both the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

A career .412 hitter, Greer concluded his career with 32 doubles, two home runs and 45 RBIs.

A member of the 2006 Big League World series team, Greer, who played for Dale Nelson at Laurens, is the son of Patricia and Joel Greer.
