Former PC Standout Named Northern League Player-of-the-Week
CHICAGO – Former Presbyterian standout outfielder Kevin
White of the Gary SouthShore RailCats has been selected as
the Northern League Rawlings Player of the Week for Aug.
7-13, the Northern League office announced Tuesday.

Gosselink made the announcement.
In five games last week for the RailCats, White, a .305
career hitter entering this season, batted .524 (11-for-21)
with four doubles. White also knocked in six runs and plated
another six runs.
A two-time NCAA Division II All-American, the Spartanburg,
S.C. native batted 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles to lead
the RailCats to an 8-2 victory over the Calgary Vipers on
Aug. 7. White had two hits and scored two runs the next day
as the RailCats defeated the Vipers 8-3.
White, who owns nine career PC baseball offensive records,
recorded three hits and drove in four runs as the RailCats
completed a three-game sweep of Calgary with a 14-7 win on
Aug. 9.
White, in his third season of professional baseball, was
obtained by the RailCats in a trade with Traverse City of
the Frontier League on June 23.
