CLINTON, S.C. - Lenoir-Rhyne used six Blue Hose errors to claim a 10-6 victory in the final game of a three-game series on Sunday afternoon. PC (6-7) dropped two-out-of-three games to give the Bears their first conference series of the year.

Lenoir-Rhyne improved to 9-3 on the year and moved to 2-1 in conference play.

The Blue Hose struck first in the contest when Kyle Craven (Savannah, Ga.) put PC on the board in the first with a two RBI single to right field.

With a tie game in the fifth inning PC would take their final lead of the game on a RBI single by Cory Lyda (Simpsonville, SC) that would drive in Bobby Holmes (Quinton, Va.). Robert Anders (Greenville, S.C.) would try to score on the play from second but was called out at the plate.

In the seventh Mitchell Odom (Oconee, Ga.) retired the first two batters quickly before things started to fall apart for the Blue Hose. The Bears pushed five across the dish in the inning on five hits and one costly error.

J.D. Harrison tripled to center field to drive in the inning’s only earned run.  A two out error by Bobby Holmes allowed the inning to continue.
