Camp Bentley: Day 10
CLINTON, S.C. –
Presbyterian College practiced twice on Wednesday on its
four practices fields on the PC campus.
PC Football head coach
Bobby Bentley continued to stress his team’s need to improve
and get better in all areas after the team’s second practice
on Wednesday.
“We just have to get
better in whatever area it may be, whether that is special
teams, offense, defense, or even in the weight room.”
Noting Camp Bentley…
HUGE RETURN: Coach Bentley
said that the return of senior offensive lineman Jeff Hallen
(Walton, Ga.) from injury on Wednesday is huge for the PC
offense.

Interview With Scott
Frazier
Entering his third year as Presbyterian
College football’s offensive line coach, Scott Frazier is
not new to Blue Hose Football.
Nevertheless, some of his
student-athletes at the start of preseason camp were
beginning their time with PC Football when the Blue Hose
reported to camp for the team’s first practice on Aug. 6.
“There is a steep learning curve for
young offensive lineman,” related Frazier. “The complexity
of the college game is vastly different from high school.”
Several young offensive lineman have
been given the opportunity to step into the lineup and help
the Blue Hose as the Sept. 1 season opener against Furman
approaches.
“I am very pleased that our young
players have put themselves in the mix, even some walk-on
players,” Frazier said. “Jared Tavernier in particular has
asserted himself and played at a high level for us.
“As the Furman game approaches,
retaining cohesiveness along the offensive line despite the
changes to the lineup remains our primary challenge” noted
Frazier. “Jesse Painter has led the way in keeping
consistency and stability along the offensive line.”
Painter, returning for his redshirt
junior year at PC, came to Presbyterian as a walk-on and
according to Frazier has “really worked hard early in his
career to change his body and learn the college game.”
