Former PC Standout Pope
Assigned To Spokane Shock Of AF2
SPOKANE, Wash.
- The Spokane Shock of AF2 announced on Wednesday that
former Presbyterian College wide receiver Tim Pope has been
assigned to their 2007 roster by the AF2 league office.
Pope, who is currently listed at 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds,
hauled in 132 receptions and 20 Touchdowns in 38 games
during his career with the Blue Hose. A captain in 2004 for
the Blue Hose, Pope’s career was capped off after his senior
season when he was selected as the MVP of the Cactus Bowl
(an All-Star game for Division II players) after catching
six passes for 101 yards.
The Ninety-Six, S.C. native also set a Cactus Bowl record in
the game with a 50-yard touchdown reception.
The defending Arena Cup champions, the Shock will begin
their quest to defend their championship on Saturday, March
31 as they host the Stockton Lightning at the Spokane Arena
