PC Football To Open Spring Season On Tuesday

CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College’s football team will open its first spring season under the direction of new football coach Bobby Bentley at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 20.

The Blue Hose will practice 14 times over the next three weeks before ending their spring season with the annual spring football game at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 14.

The new coaching staff is excited about finally being able to work with the student-athletes and facing the challenges that are in front of the program.

“I am looking forward to seeing how the players respond to the new system,” remarked Bentley. “The coaching staff is enthusiastic about installing a new offensive and defensive scheme.”

Presbyterian opens its 2007 season on the road against Upstate rival Furman University at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1. The Blue Hose will then welcome Pikeville College to Bailey Memorial Stadium at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8 for their first home game under Bentley’s guidance.
