PC Football Holds First Practice

CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College officially opened its inaugural NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision season with its first preseason practice on Monday afternoon on its four practice fields on the PC campus.

The 90 Blue Hose on campus reported to the team’s first training camp practice under new mentor Bobby Bentley at 4 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

The new coaching staff continued to begin to slowly implement the new offensive and defensive schemes to the players, but focused mainly on beginning to get their squad into game fitness.

PC’s day began with a team stretch and then the team went into its regular circuit training sessions before breaking off into 7-on-7 drills and working with their position coaches.

The Blue Hose will practice 24 more times before beginning their first week of game preparation on Monday, Aug. 27. In total, PC will have 28 more practices before taking the gridiron against Furman at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1 at Paladin Stadium.
