PC’S HUMPHRIES REACHES 1,000-POINT PLATEAU IN CAREER SCORING
Blue Hose standout breaks 1,000-point barrier in PC’s 65-49 win over USCS

CLINTON, SC — Presbyterian College men’s basketball player D.J. Humphries reached a significant milestone over the weekend.

Humphries, a 6-6 senior forward/center from Union, SC, scored his 1,000th career point in PC’s 65-49 win over USC Spartanburg last Saturday night. He finished the game with 12 points, four rebounds, and two steals. The record was reached with 16:21 remaining in the game on a layup.

Humphries becomes the 11th player in PC men’s basketball history during head coach Gregg Nibert’s 12-year tenure to break the 1,000-point barrier. Humphries currently has 1,007 career points in 90 games. He has a 11.2 points per game career average and has tallied 636 career rebounds (7.1) which ranks 11th place in Blue Hose history and sixth in SAC history.
