CROUSE BECOMES SECOND SIGNEE WITH 
BLUE HOSE MEN’S BASKETBALL

CLINTON, SC — Jason Crouse has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Presbyterian College announced today by 12th-year head coach Gregg Nibert.

Crouse, a 6-7, 205-pound center from Martinez, GA, helped lead Evans High School and head coach Kevin Kenny to a 14-12 overall record last season. He averaged 18.9 points and 8.2 rebounds while being named Columbia County Player of the Year. In addition, Crouse was named to the Georgia All-State team and was first team center on the All-Columbia County team.

In the classroom, Crouse excels carrying a 4.00 GPA and a 1210 SAT score while being selected to the National Honor Society and is a member of Who’s Who Among American High School Students.

“We’re excited about signing a player of Jason’s caliber,” said Nibert. “Jason brings a valuable blend of talent and intelligence to the game and he will be able to step in a contribute immediately next season.”

Crouse becomes the second signee for the Blue Hose men’s basketball program joining Brian Welch of Suwanee, GA who signed last week.  PC is coming off a 12-15 overall record and a third place finish in the SAC regular season race during the 1999-2000 season. The Blue Hose return four starters this season and have been picked as the preseason favorite with Wingate University for the SAC regular season title this year.
