SIGNS WITH BLUE HOSE MEN’S BASKETBALL
CLINTON,
S.C. — Mike Drum of Rural Hall, N.C. has
signed a national letter of intent to play men’s
basketball at Presbyterian College announced today by
13th-year head coach Gregg
Nibert.
Drum, a 6-6, 195-pound
forward averaged 17.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 4.0
assists last season while playing for North Forsyth High
School and head coach Mike Muse. He was named the Metro Conference Player of the Year this
past season and is a two-time All-Northwest selection.
During his career, Drum has
been named to numerous all-tournament teams including
MVP of the Domino’s Pizza Shootout his junior year,
the Hot Hoops Classic MVP and All-Tournament selection
at the Ragu Classic in Provo, Utah as a senior. He
reached the 1,000-plateau this past season in a game
versus Mt. Tabor High School and has been nominated for
the Wendy’s Heisman Athletic/Academic Award.
In the classroom, he
carries a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the Principal’s
Honor Roll, National Honor Society, and the National
Spanish Society. He is a active member of the Fellowship
of Christian Athletes.
“Michael has great
basketball skills: passing, shooting, dribbling, and he
also does the intangibles on the floor,” said Nibert.
“He makes players around him better because of his
skill. He will be a real asset to Presbyterian College
both on and off the court.”
